Statuses

Each event has a status. The Statuses UI is used to manage and create new statuses.

Managing Statuses

Use the following buttons to manage statuses:

Add a status

To add a status:

  1. Click the Add Status button at the bottom of the list.
  2. Give the status a unique name.
  3. Select the type for the status.
  4. Enable Requires Resolution if this status requires a resolution.
  5. Add the next possible statuses.
  6. Add a description to explain what the status means.
  7. Click the save button on the upper right side of the status section.

Status Type

Each status has an assigned type. These are:

  • New
  • In Progress
  • Done

The type affects how Events are shown in the Event Summary Filters.

Requires Resolution

If the Requires Resolution flag is set, choosing this status will require a resolution to be set during the status change.

Next Possible Statuses

This setting allows basic workflow for statuses. Select all valid next statuses.

Event Restriction

Using Event Restriction, preconditions have to be fulfilled before the status can be changed.

Update and delete a status

Revise the information and press the Save Status button to update a status. To delete a status, press the Delete Status button next to the Save status button in the upper right corner of the status option section.
