Statuses

Each event in AME has a status. The Statuses UI lets you manage existing statuses and create new ones.

Managing Statuses

Use these buttons to manage statuses:

Adding a Status

To add a new status:

  1. Click the Add Status button at the bottom of the list.
  2. Enter a unique status name.
  3. Select the status type (see Status Type).
  4. Enable Requires Resolution if a resolution is needed.
  5. Specify the next possible statuses (see Next Possible Statuses).
  6. Add a description explaining the status’s purpose.
  7. Click Save in the upper-right corner of the status section.

Status Type

Each status has one of these types:

  • New: Indicates an event is newly created.
  • In Progress: Shows an event is being worked on.
  • Done: Marks an event as completed.

The type affects how events appear in Event Summary Filters.

Requires Resolution

When Requires Resolution is enabled, changing to this status mandates setting a resolution.

Next Possible Statuses

Define valid next statuses to create a basic workflow for status transitions.

Updating or Deleting a Status

To update a status:

  1. Edit the status details.
  2. Click Save Status in the upper-right corner.

To delete a status:

  1. Open the status.
  2. Click Delete Status next to the Save Status button in the upper-right corner.
